P. Shanmugam, State Secretary of the CPI(M), on Wednesday (June 3, 2026), urged the State government to lift the restrictions that make it mandatory for members of the public to obtain tokens to enter the Secretariat.

“A lot of restrictions are already in place. The new measures will prevent people from approaching the government machinery,” he said in a social media post.
