Asserting that positioning Telangana as not merely a gateway to the country but to the entire world was his dream, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has sought the unwavering support and cooperation of the people in realising this.

It is the firm resolve of the people’s government that the State should emerge as US $1 trillion economy by 2034 and US $3 trillion by 2047. The roadmap to achieving this is mentioned in the Telangana Rising – 2047 document, which is not mere a declaration on paper but is the commitment of the government, the Chief Minister said.

The Chief Minister addressed the gathering after unfurling the national flag on the State Formation Day at Parade Grounds in Hyderabad on Tuesday (June 2, 2026). He inspected the guard of honour presented by 10 contingents as also the contingents of different art forms of the State.

Intense heat conditions

Mr. Reddy acknowledged the intense heat conditions gripping the State and city by advancing the celebrations to avoid inconvenience to the participants. He later cut short his speech mentioning about the increasing temperatures asking people to take adequate care from the sweltering heat.

During his close to 30-minute address, the Chief Minister lamented that there was distinct lack of clarity regarding the path and direction that should be followed after the State formation. The situation at that time was such that the future of the State appeared to be dictated merely by the whims and ideas of a select few individuals. “It is for this very reason that the people’s government formulated a comprehensive master plan for the State,” he said adding Telangana Rising-2047 possesses the transformative power to position the State not merely as key player within the nation but as a global gateway to the world.

A single master plan encompassing an entire State did not exist anywhere else in the country and the State was pioneer of the concept. Further, the vision document had classified the State into three categories – CURE, PURE and RARE – adopting a three tier strategy for development.

The Chief Minister elaborated about the initiatives like the Gig Workers Bill, social security to old aged parents, fine rice for poor and Indiramma Indlu housing programme claiming that these were designed as part of welfare of the people as well as enhancing their self respect.

He recalled how the people elected the Congress Government by defeating the feudal mindsets and authoritarian forces and said the government launched its spree of welfare and development schemes in the right earnest targeting different sections. Free bus travel to women under Mahalakshmi scheme enabled women to save Rs. 10,000 crore in 30 months while LPG cylinders at subsidised prices and other schemes too benefitted them. Women were now poised to become entrepreneurs with initiatives like super markets, rice mills proposed by the government.

Notification before month end

Simultaneously, steps were initiated to reform recruitment boards like the Public Service Commission and around 67,735 vacancies had been filled in record time for the benefit of youth. The Public Service Commission would release further notifications for recruitment before the end of this month.

Mr. Reddy recalled how the revolutionary initiatives to reform the education sector helped in providing opportunities to youth. The upgradation of erstwhile ITIs to ATCs ensured that 838 out of the 1,190 students who passed out secured gainful employment in major business establishments.
