A.P. LAWCET, PGLCET 2026 results declared; 80% overall pass, 19,197 qualify

The Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test (A.P. LAWCET) and the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (A.P. PGLCET) results for 2026 were declared on Monday (May 18, 2026) by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV), Tirupati, which conducted the examinations on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE). Of the 23,996 candidates who appeared across all three streams, 19,197 qualified, registering an overall pass percentage of 80%.

The examinations were held on May 4 in two sessions, from 9 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 3.30 p.m., across 100 test centres spread throughout the State. Preliminary answer keys were published on May 7, and objections were accepted until May 9, after which a panel of experts finalised the keys before processing the results.

Of the three streams, the PGLCET, which serves as the gateway to the two-year LLM/ML programme, recorded the highest pass percentage at 92.02%. A total of 1,752 candidates qualified out of the 1,904 who appeared. Female candidates performed marginally better, with a pass percentage of 92.94%, compared to 91.43% for their male counterparts.

Meanwhile in the LAWCET three-year stream, which caters to admissions into the three-year BL/LLB course, 13,863 of the 17,533 candidates who appeared qualified, yielding a pass rate of 79.07%. Male candidates outperformed female candidates in this stream, recording 82.45% against 70.91%. The LAWCET five-year stream saw 3,582 of 4,559 candidates qualify, registering a pass percentage of 78.57%. Male and female candidates performed comparably, at 79.78% and 77.40%, respectively.

Candidates may access their results here and rank cards here: Results are also accessible via the WhatsApp Governance number 9552300009. The results were announced under the chairpersonship of Uma Vennam, Vice-Chancellor of SPMVV. The Convener of the examinations was T. Sita Kumari.

Meanwhile, Minister for Human Resources Development Nara Lokesh congratulated the qualified candidates on X. “Kudos to all the qualified students,” he posted.
