A 1-km bicycle riding trail was inaugurated at the Butterfly Park on Thursday aimed at helping visitors explore the premises in an eco-friendly manner.

According to an official press release, the trail was inaugurated by S. Krithiga, District Forest Officer, under the guidance of R. Kanchana, Conservator of Forest, Tiruchi Circle, on Thursday.

A total of 10 bicycles, suitable for children and adult riders, have been provided at the park. A fee of ₹10 will be charged for one hour’s ride.

Approximately 2.5 lakh people visited the park in the past year, said the release.
