Chennai Super Kings is one of the most successful Indian Premier League teams It has also appeared in ten finals and qualified for the playoff stages 12 times, the most among the IPL franchises.

This time around, CSK traded Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran in place of Rajasthan Royals’ Sanju Samson.
