Virat Kohli’s Usain Bolt-Like Run, Fiery Celebration On DC Star’s Dismissal Is Viral. Watch

Posted on May 13, 2024 By admin

their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 playoffs qualification hopes. Up against Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2024 match on Sunday, RCB didn’t disappoint and secured a thumping victory. But, the win might not have been possible had RCB failed to dismiss DC’s in-form star Jake Fraser-McGurk. The young Australian batter became victim of an unlucky run-out that sent the entire RCB team into jubilation, with none other than Virat Kohli leading the celebrations of the prized wicket.

Cameron Green, on his own bowling, touched a straight drive from Shai Hope and the ball hit the stumps at the non-striker’s end. Fraser-McGurk had only started to advance towards the striker’s end when the ball shattered the stumps, forcing him to head back to the pavilion.

Kohli, ecstatic to get the big fish, ran like a child, and even seemed to have given the DC star a sendoff. Here’s the video:

Virat knew the value of the Aussie star’s wicket and his celebration perfectly summed that up. The wicket proved to be a turning point in the fortunes for RCB, who went on to restrict DC for just 140 runs.

RCB pace bowler Yash Dayal attributed the renaissance of Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the second half of the IPL to them “switching on the attacking mode.” After six consecutive defeats, Royal Challengers won five matches on the bounce to remain in contention for a playoff berth.

In the last game, RCB defeated Delhi Capitals by 47 runs here on Sunday to leap to fifth spot on the table with 12 points from 13 matches.

“Our performances have markedly improved in the last few matches. I think we have switched on that attacking mode in the last few matches. It has been a big positive for us,” said Dayal, who took three for 20 against DC, during the post-match press meet.

The left-arm quick said even while RCB were going through a losing streak, the dressing room remained a thickly-knit unit.

“When you lose matches continuously, like it happened with us, morale will come down a bit. But we took it in our stride and bounced back well.

“But even when we were losing, fingers were not pointed at anyone. We have remained positive throughout the season,” he added.
