Virat Kohli In Heated Argument With Umpire Over Controversial Decision – Watch

Posted on May 12, 2024 By admin

Virat Kohli got into a heated argument with the on-field umpire over a controversial decision during the IPL 2024 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals on Sunday. The incident took place during the second innings of DC’s run chase over a LBW decision involving Abishek Porel. Porel jammed down his bat to play Mohammed Siraj‘s in-swinging yorker and RCB cricketers were convinced that the ball has hit his pads in front of the stumps. They went for a review but the third umpire decided that the ball came off his bat and ruled in DC’s favour. Kohli and RCB skipper Faf Du Plessis were not happy with the decision and they ended up having a lengthy discussion with the umpires on the matter.

Coming to the match, RCB posted a total of 187/9 with Rajat Patidar slamming a solid half-century.

“Wicket was two-paced when I went in. Ball was holding, especially the slower ball. Have been smarter in selecting which bowlers to go after in the last few games. I try my best to read it from the hand. This target is defendable. Can defend easily if we bowl in good areas,” Patidar said during the innings break.
