Apple announced Tuesday the launch of a battery pack that can be attached to the back of the iPhone 12 to provide additional battery life. If iPhone is almost dead, it will help people to extend the iPhone battery life.
The MagSafe Battery Pack costs $ 99 and is available in white. It can be reserved now and shipping will begin next week.
Although it is stuck in the back of the iPhone, it can charge the phone with 5 watts of power, about the same as the older square wall charger for iPhone, but slower than the 15 watts that you get with a normal MagSafe charger. When connected to the iPhone, users can connect the cable to its Lightning port to charge the battery and the device at a faster speed.
Like other Apple accessories, is tightly integrated with the iPhone operating system to showcase additional battery life on iOS. The
product launched this week is the latest in a series of accessories that use Apple’s MagSafe system, which launched with the new iPhone last fall. In the survey, longer battery life has always been one of the top features consumers want smartphones to have.
Apple has released battery extension boxes in the past, but without MagSafe, Apple’s smart battery boxes must be physically connected to the iPhone port to charge them and provide additional battery life.
Apple has not released official estimates of battery life or charging capacity, but product photos show that the current of the MagSafe battery is 1,460 mAh per hour, slightly less than half of the 3,110 mAh battery in the iPhone 12.
