The U.S. military said it launched another strike on a boat accused of ferrying drugs in the Caribbean Sea, killing two people on Monday (May 4, 2026).

The Trump administration’s campaign of blowing up alleged drug-trafficking vessels in Latin American waters has persisted since early September and killed at least 188 people in total. Other strikes have taken place in the eastern Pacific Ocean.

U.S. forces ‌launched a strike against a ⁠boat allegedly involved in drug ‌smuggling in the eastern Pacific, ‌the ‌U.S. ⁠military said ⁠on Friday (March 20, 2026), killing two people.

The Coast Guard said ‌it was notified by U.S. Southern Command on ‌Thursday (March 19, 2026) that three people were reported ⁠in distress in Pacific waters. They ‌found two dead and one survivor.

The survivor and remains ‌were transferred to the Costa Rican Coast Guard, ⁠a Coast Guard ⁠spokesperson said.
