Gurugram:

A 26-year-old man was stabbed to death by his colleague following a dispute over the quality of work, police said on Sunday.

The accused, Arjun Shavtal (22), a native of Assam, was arrested and the knife used in the crime was recovered, they said.

Police said they received information on Saturday evening that a man was stabbed to death at Hello Guest House in Sector 53. A police team rushed to the spot and dog squad and forensic experts inspected the scene.

The victim, Dalip Kumar hailing from Bihar was working as a housekeeping staff at the guest house, a police officer said.

An FIR was registered based on the complaint lodged by the victim’s brother following which the accused was arrested on Sunday, he said.

During interrogation, Shavtal revealed that he bore a grudge against Kumar as he used to constantly berate him about the quality of work and would also threaten and beat him, the officer added.

The accused told police that enraged by the constant berating he took a knife from the kitchen and stabbed the victim to death, the officer said.

Further investigation is underway, the police said.

 Two men returning home after finishing work in a factory were stabbed to death following a dispute with four juveniles in Narela Industrial area on Wednesday, police said.

Police said the four minors aged between 13 and 16 have been detained and interrogated, they said.

Family members of the victims — both residents of JJ Colony in Bawana — suspect that the duo were stabbed in a bid to rob them as they were returning home with salary and Diwali bonus.

Police said they were probing the case from all angles, including a possibility of road rage.

A senior police officer said a call was received regarding two persons lying in a pool of blood near G-Block in Bawana.

A police team reached the spot and found Irshad and Faizan lying with stab wounds. They were taken to a hospital where doctors declared them dead.

New Delhi:

An ice cream vendor has been stabbed to death near India Gate in the national capital, police said.

The police said that the deceased has been identified as Prabhakar (25).

According to Delhi Police, information was received about an attack on an ice cream vendor with knives late on Wednesday evening, after which the police took the victim to the hospital.

Later the victim succumbed to his injuries, police added.

“The preliminary investigation suggests that the deceased was attacked with a knife due to a fight. The deceased has three wounds on his body, one of which is very deep, due to which he died. We have also recovered some money and a watch from the victim’s bag”, the police said.

A case has also been registered under section 302.

The accused who is currently on the run has been identified with the help of CCTV cameras placed in the nearby shops.

Further investigation and efforts to nab the accused are underway.

Gurugram:

 A 40-year-old man was stabbed to death over an alleged objectionable video in a village on Wednesday night, police said, adding that they arrested the accused within an hour.

The incident happened in the victim’s house at around 9 pm in Chakkarpur village, they said.

According to police, Udar Khan allegedly stabbed Tauqeer Alam several times in the neck and fled from the spot. The victim was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him dead.

After receiving information about the incident, a police team led by DCP (east) Mayank Gupta reached the spot. Within an hour, police arrested Khan, who said that Alam had made some objectionable video of him.

Khan told police that he had been meeting Tauqeer, who was an acquaintance, over this for the past 3-4 days, and on Wednesday night he committed the murder.

An FIR on the matter has been registered at Sector 29 police station, and the accused is being questioned, police said.
