Heinrich Klaasen (69) and Ishan Kishan (55) made Punjab Kings pay dearly for their sloppy fielding, powering Sunrisers Hyderabad to a challenging 235 for four in their IPL match in Hyderabad on Wednesday (May 6, 2026).

Dropped on nine, Klaasen capitalised to smash three fours and four sixes in his 43-ball knock.

Kishan, who survived two reprieves — a dropped catch and a missed stumping — struck a brisk 32-ball 55, including two fours and four sixes.

For Punjab Kings, Yuzvendra Chahal was the most economical, returning 1/32, but endured a frustrating outing as all the dropped chances and the missed stumping came off his bowling.

Brief Scores

Sunrisers Hyderabad 235 for 4 in 20 overs (Heinrich Klaasen 69, Ishan Kishan 55; Yuzvendra Chahal 1/32).

Gujarat Titans once again took the hard route in pursuing a middling total but avoided a catastrophic middle-order slump by a whisker to claim a four-wicket win over Punjab Kings in IPL 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium here on Sunday.

The task of chasing 164 was tailor-made for B. Sai Sudharsan’s calibrated approach. He struck a half-century (57, 41b, 5×4, 1×6) and was the constant in neatly-compiled partnerships after the early fall of Shubman Gill.

It is difficult to cut an imposing figure in an arena as gigantic as the Narendra Modi Stadium. It is even tougher when more than 90,000 fans turn it into a raucous theatre where every creature can feel small and diminished.

But Jason Holder, the Barbados-born burly man of 6’7” frame, managed that Herculean feat with an all-round effort to carry Gujarat Titans to an important four-wicket victory over the in-form Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2026 on Thursday (April 30, 2026).
