In the attack, the woman sustained at least 15 wounds.

A California man has died after being mauled to death by his three ‘XL bully’ dogs at a children’s playground. According to the New York Post, emergency calls were made to the San Diego police around noon, reporting a dog attack at the Mesa Viking Neighborhood Park. Upon arrival, officers found the victim being violently attacked by the three XL bullies. Despite desperate attempts by bystanders to intervene, the dogs refused to release their grip on the man. The ferocity of the attack was so severe that one witness initially believed police were attempting to subdue a violent suspect.

“I just saw they had something trapped in the weeds over here. I thought it was a person at first because they were talking about setting up a perimeter. They were big, like XL bullies, just massive muscle,” said witness Steve Marto.

As the brutal attack continued, bystanders attempted to intervene, using shovels and a golf club to try and deter the dogs. However, the animals’ ferocity persisted, forcing the police to resort to using tasers to subdue them. Two of the dogs were eventually caught and restrained, but a third managed to escape into the nearby neighbourhood. That prompted the nearby Ericson Elementary School to go into lockdown until the animal was found back at its home and captured.

A search operation ensued, and the loose dog was eventually tracked back to its home, where it was safely captured. The community breathed a collective sigh of relief as the situation was brought under control.

“The officer was able to break up the dogs. They fled, and the injured male was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries,” police said. However, the 26-year-old man identified as Pedro Luis Ortega, died at the hospital. 

San Diego Humane Society, along with police, confirmed the owner’s death, CNN reported. 

“The first victim sustained fatal injuries. Our hearts go out to the victim’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Upon arrival, our Humane Officers worked closely with SDPD to locate two dogs that were still loose and safely impounded a third dog that had been secured in a vehicle,” a Humane Society statement said. 

The dogs were taken into custody “under mandatory bite quarantine protocols,” and were later euthanised following standard protocol, the Humane Society said.

The Society officers also discovered a second person who had suffered severe bite wounds while attempting to aid the initial victim. This person was rushed to the hospital and is currently recovering. The Centers for Disease Control reports that on average nationally, 43 people die from dog bites and attacks every year. 

The lift opens and a dog jumps at her. The shocked girl is pushed back, clutching her hand in pain, showed a disturbing video from a Noida housing society. This is the latest in the growing list of dog attacks.

The incident, captured on CCTV, is reported from Lotus 300 Society in Noida’s Sector 107, an upscale neighbourhood.

A man is seen shooing away the dog and then kicks him out of the lift. The lift then closes briefly before it opens again and the dog scurries in for the second time but then moves away as the gates shut.

The girl moves back yet again, shaking with fear, showed the CCTV video, checking her arm and letting out a cry.

At one point, she is seen wiping her tears with her T-shirt. The lift reaches the ground floor and she exits.

There has been no statement form the society and the police so far.

In April, a German Shepherd was seen charging at a six-year-old girl riding her bicycle within an apartment complex in Ghaziabad.

In March, the Centre asked states to ban the sale and breeding of 23 breeds of ferocious dogs, including Pitbull Terrier, American Bulldog, Rottweiler and Mastiffs.

The directive added that those who already have these breeds as pets must sterilise them at once. The Animal Husbandry Department said it has received representations from citizen forums and Animal Welfare Organisations to ban people from keeping some breeds as pets.

A 31-year-old Australian woman named Nikita Piil is recovering in the hospital after she was viciously attacked by her two rottweilers last Saturday.

Ms Piil was attacked by her pet dog named Bronx and Harlem at Perth home. She suffered major blood loss and serious bite wounds to her limbs when her dogs turned on her, 7 News reported. The woman is currently in a serious but stable condition at the Royal Perth Hospital as doctors are trying to save her arm.

Ms Piil screamed for her help when she was being attacked. Neighbours saw the attack and tried to use leaf blowers, hoses and bats to fight the dogs off but were unable to do so.

In an interaction with 7News, neighbour Bryn Spencer said, “I didn’t have a knife, I didn’t have anything really good to take this dog out, I only had a bat. All I could really do was just watch this girl get mauled apart.”

The police soon reached the spot and shot one of the dogs as they couldn’t stop the attack. One of the dogs was euthanized and the other is in ranger custody.

Ms Piil used to constantly post about her two dogs on social media and often referred to them as her “babies”. In a post for Bronx’s birthday in 2017, she wrote, “I couldn’t ask for a more incredible, cheeky, loyal, intelligent and protective little mate. You’re my whole world.”

An anonymous breeder who sold one of the dogs to Ms Piil told The West Australian, “It’s not likely that a rottweiler would attack anybody for no reason.”

The breeder believes there must have been a fight between the two dogs and Ms Fiil got involved to try to break them up, but somehow got dragged into the vicious scuffle.
