The accused are currently on the run.

New Delhi:

A 52-year-old businessman died after he was allegedly shot at by two bike-borne men in the Farsh Bazar area of Delhi’s Shahdara district on Saturday morning.

The incident took place when the man, identified as Sunil Jain, was returning home on a scooter after a morning walk at the Yamuna Sports Complex, officials said. According to the police, at least seven to eight rounds of bullets were fired.

The victim was a resident of Krishna Nagar in the national capital. He owned a utensils business, the police said.

According to his family, Jain did not have any rivalry with anyone, the police added.

The accused are currently on the run.

“The crime team has reached the spot. Further investigation is underway,” Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shahdara, said.

In another incident, a fight between neighbours over ‘flushing’ a common toilet turned deadly in Delhi’s Govindpuri area on Friday night. The accused, Bikham Singh, stabbed his neighbors with a kitchen knife.

According to the police, three people were injured – out of which one person, identified as Sudheer, has died.

The victim had stab injuries near his chest and on his face, while, the injured persons, Prem (22) and Sagar (20) have been rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has intensified its attack on the Centre following a series of violent incidents in the city, accusing it of neglecting Delhi’s law and order situation ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. Reacting to the two incidents, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that criminals have become “fearless” under the BJP rule.

“After the firing in Vishwas Nagar, now news of stabbing is coming from Govindpuri. Under the BJP rule, criminals have become completely fearless,” he wrote on X.

At least six to seven rounds were fired outside the house

New Delhi:

Two men affiliated with the Bambiha Gang, the rival of the incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, opened fire at the residence of a businessman in Delhi, police said today.

The shooting occurred in North West Delhi’s Rani Bagh around 8.40 am on Saturday and the two accused, who were on a bike, threw a chit on which ‘Bambiha Gang’ was written.

At least six to seven rounds were fired outside the house, officials said. However, no call has so far been received regarding extortion.

Delhi has witnessed an increase in firing incidents as part of extortion attempts recently.

Last month, three sensational incidents of firing occurred in the capital — at a car showroom in Naraina in west Delhi, a hotel in southwest Delhi and the sweet shop, all were linked to extortion activities by gangsters.

In the first incident, shots were fired at a second-hand car showroom called ‘Car Street Mini’ in southwest Delhi’s Naraina, barely a kilometre from the Naraina police station. Officials said at least 20 rounds were fired by three men who entered the showroom, causing panic in the area.

The shooters left behind a slip, reading “Bhau Gang, Since 2020”. The “Bhau Gang” mention was seen as a reference to wanted gangster Himanshu Bhau, who fled the country in 2022 and is currently believed to be in Portugal. He had also claimed responsibility for the murder of a man at a food outlet in Delhi.

In May, a similar shooting was carried out at a car showroom in West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar and the same gang was suspected to be behind the attack. Sources Rs 5 crore was demanded from the owners of the ‘Fusion Cars’ showroom.

The second shooting took place in southwest Delhi’s Mahipalpur when a bike-borne shooter fired at least 5-6 rounds at the Hotel Impress and damaged its glass gate.

According to sources, the firing was done to extort money and take over the hotel. Last year, a man had threatened the hotel owner in the name of Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar.

Brar, along with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently lodged in a jail in Gujarat, are also accused of carrying out a shooting outside the Mumbai residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan earlier this year.

The third incident took place in west Delhi’s Nangloi where bullets were fired at a sweet shop. The police found a slip with the name of jailed gangster Deepak Boxer.

No injuries were reported in the three incidents.

New Delhi:

Delhi witnessed three separate firing incidents as part of extortion attempts in the last 24 hours with the shooters attacking a luxury car showroom, a hotel, and a sweet shop. No injuries were reported in the three shootings.

20 Rounds Fired At Car Showroom

In the first incident, shots were fired at a second-hand car showroom called ‘Car Street Mini’ in southwest Delhi’s Naraina, barely a kilometre from the Naraina police station.

Officials said at least 20 rounds were fired by three men who entered the showroom, causing panic in the area.

Police sources said that the three shooters have been identified and a case has been registered against them.

Four luxury cars – two BMWs, a Mercedes, and a Mini Cooper – were damaged in the firing.

The shooters snatched the phone of a salesman and threw it about 100 meters away from the showroom while fleeing. They also left behind a slip, reading “Bhau Gang, Since 2020”.

The “Bhau Gang” mention is seen as a reference to wanted gangster Himanshu Bhau, who fled the country in 2022 and is currently believed to be in Portugal. He had also claimed responsibility for the murder of a man at a food outlet in Delhi.

In May, a similar shooting was carried out at a car showroom in West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar and the same gang was suspected to be behind the attack. Sources said Rs 5 crore was demanded from the owners of the ‘Fusion Cars’ showroom.

Firing At Hotel

The second shooting took place in southwest Delhi’s Mahipalpur, which is near the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

A bike-borne shooter fired at least 5-6 rounds at the Hotel Impress and damaged its glass gate.

According to sources, the firing was done to extort money and take over the hotel.

Last year, a man had threatened the hotel owner in the name of Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar.

Brar, along with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently lodged in a jail in Gujarat, are also accused of carrying out a shooting outside the Mumbai residence of Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

Firing At Sweet Shop

The third incident is from west Delhi’s Nangloi where bullets were fired at a sweet shop.

The police have found a slip with the name of jailed gangster Deepak Boxer.
