New Delhi:

Raj Tarun, a Telugu actor known for his roles in several hit films has been accused of infidelity and cheating by his live-in partner. His partner Lavanya has filed a police case against him claiming that he cheated on her with a co-star during the shooting of his recent film, an allegation that Mr Tarun has denied.

In her complaint, Lavanya alleges that despite being together for over a decade, Raj Tarun has refused to acknowledge their relationship publicly. She claims that the actor has distanced himself from her due to his involvement with another actor based in Mumbai.

In her statement to the police, Lavanya revealed that she and Raj Tarun participated in a secret marriage ceremony at a temple, with promises from the actor to formalize their union legally. However, she alleges that he has been unfaithful and is now romantically involved with a co-star from his upcoming project.

According to a Telugu Cinema report, Lavanya claimed that she and the actor had gotten married secretly at a temple. She claimed that Mr Tarun had promised to formalise their marriage, but then disappeared for three months and was now dating someone else.

Speaking to reporters, Raj Tarun vehemently denied the accusations, calling them shocking and baseless. He clarified that while they had been in a relationship for 10 years, they had mutually agreed to part ways recently. Raj Tarun asserted that he never misled Lavanya or cheated on her. He also denied her claims regarding a secret marriage and accused her of spreading falsehoods.

“It was shocking and disappointing to hear the false allegations against me. We had been in a relationship for 10 years, and we decided to part ways according to a mutual understanding. I have never cheated or misled her,” he told the media.

The actor also told police that Lavanya was accused in a drugs case, and had been arrested once, but he had never made the case details public or defamed her.

Lavanya in her complaint mentioned that she spent 45 days in police custody, but alleges that the actor showed no concern for her situation.

Police have acknowledged receiving the complaint and stated that they will investigate the matter thoroughly. They emphasized that any further action would depend on the evidence provided by both parties involved.

Raj Tarun, known for his roles in films such as ‘Uyyala Jampala’ and ‘Kumari 21 F’, has carved a niche for himself in the Telugu film industry. His recent role in Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Naa Saami Ranga’ garnered significant attention and praise for his performance.

The model was born in New Zealand but grew up in Australia

An Australian adult star has claimed her ex-boyfriend pretended to have cancer so that he could cheat on her, the New York Post reported. Speaking on a podcast, Hayley Davies said the man even shaved his head to make his lie more convincing. ”My ex lied about having cancer so he could have a whole other girlfriend and multiple side girlfriends,” she said during a recent episode of an adult entertainment interview podcast.

The model who was born in New Zealand but grew up in Australia, revealed that at first, her ex claimed to have bone cancer, but then changed his story, claiming that it was skin cancer. She further grew even more suspicious when her ex stopped sending her regular video updates of his various activities, which he used to do before. When she asked him what he was up to, he claimed he was with a friend.

When she looked at the camera roll on his phone, she found pictures of him from the night before. ”I see the photos of him that night with another girl. Then I saw a message come through, so I opened it and it’s, like, ‘I love you, babe.’” And I reply and I’m, like, ‘Who are you?’ and she’s, like, ‘What?’ because I’m replying from his phone,” Ms Davies said.

The other woman immediately called her up and the two talked about how their boyfriend was lying to them. ”She had no idea he had cancer. They had been together longer, and she was the main one – the one that had met the family and all that,” she said.

After she put the phone down, Ms Davies broke up with the man on the spot.

However, the adult star, who makes around $30,000 a month from an adult modelling subscription site, said that her jealous ex recently messaged her on TikTok demanding money. He claimed she wouldn’t be successful if it weren’t for a ”viral TikT” video they’d made together.

She refused his demands and commented that when they had been together, he had told her that he was really rich, and owned multiple properties.

Woman said her father had booked a marriage hall (Representational)

New Delhi:

The Supreme Court recently dismissed a cheating case against a man who did not go through with a wedding after talks with the woman’s family.

“There can be multiple reasons for initiating a marriage proposal and then the proposal not reaching the desired end,” Justices Sudhanshu Dhulia and Prasanna B Varale said while cancelling a case against Raju Krishna Shedbalkar.

Raju Krishna Shedbalkar had approached the Supreme Court against a 2021 Karnataka High Court order that held him guilty of cheating under Section 417, which entails a jail term of up to one year or fine, or both.

“Time and again, this court has reiterated that in order to make out an offence under cheating the intention to cheat or deceive should be right from the beginning. By no stretch of imagination, this is even reflected from the complaint made by the informant,” the Supreme Court said.

A case was registered against Raju Krishna Shedbalkar, his brothers, sister and mother based on a complaint filed by a woman who alleged that he had cheated her by not marrying her.

The woman alleged that her family had found Mr Shedbalkar suitable for her, and both had started talking to each other.

She said her father had also paid Rs 75,000 to book a wedding venue, but she learnt that Mr Shedbalkar had married someone else.

The Karnataka High Court had dismissed the case against all the accused, except Mr Shedbalkar. The High Court noted since he had “induced the woman’s father to book a marriage hall, there is prima facie material which makes out a case”.

Overturning that decision, the Supreme Court said there was no evidence to prove that the man had any intention to cheat the woman. “It is possible theoretically yet in order to prove an offence of cheating in such cases prosecution must have reliable and trustworthy evidence in order to first prosecute such a case. There is no such evidence before the prosecution and therefore no offence under Section 417 is also made out,” the judges said.

Joceyln Kwek faces multiple charges of cheating.

A married woman in Singapore has been arrested for cheating 10 people, including three men who fell in love with her. According to South China Morning Post (SCMP), 49-year-old Joceyln Kwek got the three men to transfer large sums of money to her. Shockingly, one of these individuals even deceived his parents, convincing them to part with their entire life savings.

Kwek amassed over S$880,000 (US $646,000) by committing these fraudulent activities. Even when facing legal charges and awaiting trial, she managed to dupe her husband’s former colleague out of S$338,600 by falsely promising to assist him in obtaining permanent residency in Singapore.

Kwek, now facing multiple charges of cheating, pleaded guilty during a court session, her face covered by a mask as she listened to the proceedings.

The court heard that she got to know Lai Sze Yin, a co-accused, in July 2016 when he delivered a package to her house.

Despite being married and having two children, Kwek began dating Lai, creating a fictitious persona of Rachel Lam, who was studying in the National University of Singapore, said the SCMP report. Although she never met Lai’s family in person, she skillfully cultivated their trust through phone conversations and giving gifts.

Kwek persuaded Lai to convince his parents and younger sister to hand over S$150,000 under the pretext of investments or a car loan. The deception came to light when Lai’s mother filed a police report in October 2018, disclosing that her son’s girlfriend had swindled their entire savings and had been untraceable for over a year. Lai was subsequently sentenced to 15 months in jail in June 2021 for his role in defrauding his own family.

Kwek’s deceitful actions extended to her own godmother, a 73-year-old woman. She manipulated her into surrendering over 50 pieces of jewellery, many of which were cherished family heirlooms. Kwek promptly pawned these heirlooms for S$48,250, using the proceeds to settle her personal debts. Notably, Kwek had been declared bankrupt in January 2014.

Despite her godmother’s repeated pleas and requests for the return of the jewellery, Kwek consistently invented excuses. Only when threatened with a police report did she reluctantly part with a small fraction of the jewellery that did not belong to her godmother and a modest sum of money.

In addition to Lai, Kwek also cheated two other men who fell in love with her.
