The police said the couple was travelling along the Kumaran Nagar Main Road, when a huge branch from a roadside tree suddenly snapped and crashed onto the vehicle.

A six-year-old boy, out on a drive to eat panipuris with his father and two cousins near Mumbai on Sunday evening, died after their car was struck by another. The boy, Harsh Mavji Arethia, who was seated on the front passenger seat, died from the impact of the airbag that deployed due to the collision, according to the police.

An SUV driving ahead of the family’s Wagon R hit a divider. The impact was so forceful that the rear part of the SUV lifted into the air and fell on Wagon R’s bonnet, forcing airbags to deploy.

The incident took place in Vashi, about an hour’s drive from Mumbai.

Detailing the accident, Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Ghumal of Vashi Police Station, said, “Another car coming from behind hit the first car and its airbags opened. The child, sitting in the car, was hit by the airbag. The people passing by took him to the hospital. He died during the treatment. A case has been registered.”

According to doctors, Harsh had no visible injury marks. The doctors believe the cause of death to be polytrauma shock.

The visuals from the ground show the bonnet of the white Wagon R severely damaged. The metal is creased and torn, with sharp edges. The crash has pushed the bonnet upwards.

The man driving the SUV has been arrested.

In a miraculous escape, five passengers were unhurt after their car flipped eight times in a freak accident on a highway in Rajasthan’s Nagaur on Friday. The incident was captured on CCTV which showed the SUV, carrying five people, speeding on the highway.

As the driver of the car was taking a turn, he seemed to have lost control. Within seconds, the vehicle flipped at least eight times and landed in an upside-down position in front of a car showroom. Visuals showed the car crashing into the company’s main gate which broke due to the impact.

The crash was so strong that the vehicle was left in a mangled wreck.

However, none of the passengers were hurt in the incident.

According to officials, the driver first jumped out of the car while it was flipping. The rest of the four passengers got out after the car landed in front of the showroom.

Hilariously, they instead went inside the showroom and asked, “hume chai pila do” (Please give us tea).

“No one was hurt…not even a single scratch. As soon as they entered, they asked for tea,” an official working in the car agency said.

Officials said that the passengers were travelling from Nagaur to Bikaner.

A car rammed a bike rider, who was thrown away upon impact, and then dragged his bike along the road for some 500 metres, showed a disturbing video from Uttar Pradesh.

The incident, which took place on Monday afternoon, was reported from Mauranipur in Jhansi, some 400 km from capital Lucknow.

In the video, the car can be seen dragging the vehicle around in a marketplace, then reversing hard to to extricate the vehicle. The bike however remained stuck to the front of the car.

The injured man is being treated at a community hospital in Mauranipur.

“I was going on a motorcycle. A four-wheeler came and hit me from the front and then dragged my bike around,” said the victim.

The locals swiftly gathered around the vehicle, and beat up the people in the car, showed the video.

“We were sitting at a bus stand and saw a car dragging along a splendor bike. The cops were also chasing the car. We were able to stop the car and catch the people. There were two people in the car,” said Abhishek Gupta, a witness, adding that the men appeared to be drunk.

The police managed to pacify the irate crowd and caught the driver and another man in the car and took them to the police station.

“Near Ambedkar intersection, a young man riding a two-wheeler was hit by a four-wheeler. The victim was immediately admitted to Mauranipur Community Health Center. The vehicle has been seized and two people have been arrested. They are are being interrogated,” said Laxmikant Gautam, a senior cop.

Kanpur:

A two-year-old girl was mowed down by a car while she was playing outside her house today in Uttar Pradesh. The toddler was sitting on the road when her neighbour’s car approached her, she stood up when it came very close to her but the car hit her before she could move away, showed CCTV footage. The driver didn’t stop even after the impact and crushed the girl under the wheels. She died on the spot.

A motorbike was also seen passing her by before the car knocked her down.

Her family – that has been living in the Barra 7 area of Kanpur for the last ten years – was inside the house as she lay motionless on the road covered in her blood.

“He hit my child with his car and drove away. He should have taken her (to a hospital) for humanity’s sake,” said Rohit Singh, the girl’s father.

Mr Singh said that the car belonged to one of their neighbours.

A crowd gathered at the spot as the police arrived to investigate the case.

The accused and his car have been missing since the accident.

Earlier this year, a one-year-old girl was critically wounded after she was hit by a car while she was playing outside her house in a residential area of Noida.

The video of the incident showed the child sitting outside her house along with her mother when she was hit by the car. The driver ran her over while trying to park the car.

A video of a man driving recklessly on a busy Haryana road, allegedly hitting a motorcycle, and showing no remorse over the incident has gone viral. Shared by activist Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj on X, the video shows a person driving at around 140 km/h, while his co-passengers can be heard asking him to slow down. However, the man, which Ms Bhardwaj said was influencer Rajat Dalal, kept driving recklessly on the busy road before allegedly ramming a motorcycle. 

“Wo gir gaya, koi baat nahi. Roz ka yahi kaam hai ma’am (There’s no big deal if he fell down. This is a daily thing, ma’am),” he is heard saying in the video after allegedly hitting the biker.

The video, which was shot by a passenger in the back seat, went viral and garnered more than 6.7 lakh views.

Responding to the video, the Faridabad Police said the administration has taken “cognizance of this incident on its own and started action”.

“The investigation is going on. Strict action will be taken against the culprit,” they said.

According to a report, the Faridabad Police is issuing a challan to Rajat Dalal for rash and negligent driving. It added that the video was shot near the NHPC Metro Station.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has reacted to a video showing a terrifying accident involving his company’s Model Y car. The footage, shared on X, captured the electric SUV rolling over several times before landing. Miraculously, all passengers survived without serious injuries. 

The billionaire reposted the video, writing, “Safety is our primary design goal.”

Mr Musk’s reaction came after a recent crash in Orange County, California, where a Tesla driver was reportedly speeding and crashed, causing the vehicle to flip into oncoming traffic, reported KTLA News.

Three people, including the Tesla driver, were hospitalised; their conditions were not immediately available.

Witnesses said the Tesla driver was driving at an estimated over 100 miles per hour. The crash involved six vehicles, with two overturning and trapping people inside. First responders extricated the victims, including the Tesla driver, and rushed them to the hospital.

An eye witness, who was waiting at a red light, recalled the car approaching at “over 100 miles” per hour.

“She smacked the cars right next to me. I don’t know how she missed me,” the witness said, stressing that the Tesla driver caused the crash.

A worker heard the tyres screech and saw the crash unfold. Recounting the “scary” experience, he said, “Cars are flipping over right outside the window, and it takes you a little bit out of reality.”

Police are investigating the cause of the crash, saying it was possible that alcohol or drugs could also be involved.

A driver and two children were killed following their car’s collision with a truck on the Meerut Expressway near Ghaziabad, a suburb of Delhi.

The incident, which was captured on a CCTV, took place on Saturday.  

Scores of cars are seen zooming through the multilane highway, when the SUV collides with the stationary truck on the extreme right, spins a couple of times and rams an incoming truck, which turns over, shows the dramatic video.  

The front of the car was a mangled heap of metal.

“An Ertiga car carrying 11 children from Amroha to Delhi, collided with a dumper truck. Amid chaos local residents admitted 11 children and the driver to the local hospital,” said Poonam Mishra, a police officer.

The truck was stationary as it ran out of gas, said the police, adding that its driver, Saddam, has been arrested.  

The injured children, all between 10-12 age group, were going to appear for a Class 6 exam in Delhi in Jamia .

Those dead are driver Anas and children Unesh and Azam.

It was speeding and swerved wildly on a nearly empty road. The SUV flipped over twice and hit a balloon seller, instantly killing him, showed a terrifying video from Uttar Pradesh.

The accident was reported from Meerut. The balloon seller has been identified as Bhanu from Unnao.

Anubhav Goyal, a Meerut businessman, allegedly drunk, was in the driver’s seat. The video showed other people in the vehicle jumping out of the car window. A crowd soon assembled and handed over the accused driver to the police. It is being alleged that the cops released the man without taking any action.

After the video of the incident went viral, there was a huge uproar and a search was conducted for the accused.

When the top police officers sought answers from the police station, the section of the case was hurriedly changed to culpable homicide.

The accused, admitted in a hospital in Muzaffarnagar, has now been arrested.
