Venue has changed for the 3 match ODI series set to played between Afghanistan and Pakistan in September 2021. Earlier, the venue for the ODI series was Hambantota in Sri Lanka, the latest updates suggests that, the series is going to take place in Pakistan. Pakistan has already issued visas for the Afghanistan cricket team making the shift of venues official.
The sudden rise in covid cases in Sri Lanka, due to which the country has announced a 10 days lockdown. Moreover, the assumption of power by Taliban over Kabul has rendered the Kabul International Airport completely out of work. These two seem to be the most apparent reasons for the shift in venue.
The playing 11 for both the teams are yet to be disclosed and so are the stadiums in which the matches are to be played. Fans are expecting to get some updates regarding the same soon.
