Former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer believes that Rahul Dravid, who is currently touring Sri Lanka in a limited series as the coach of the Indian team, should not be used as a senior team coach.
The permanent role is under pressure. Jaffer posted a video on his YouTube channel and proved his point. “Personally, I don’t think he (Dravid) should be forced to become the coach of the Indian team. I think he needs to work with these U19 and Indian A-level players in the NCA because international players are to some extent It’s a finished product.”
Jaffer explained the importance of Dravid’s guidance to emerging players at the youth level and the National Cricket Academy (NCA), and how his presence has become a key reason for India’s strong bench on the international stage.
” U19 and Indian A-levels need the guidance and guidance of Rahul Dravid the most to allow players to reach a higher level. Therefore, he needs to stay at NCA for a longer period of time so that the strength of our bank can continue to grow,” Jaffer said.
