Following the 2 match Test series played amongst Pakistan and West Indies, Misbah-ul-Haq, the Pakistani coach tested positive for COVID-19. The series ended in a draw today.
Misbah-ul-Haq will have to quarantine for 10 days in Jamaica, which means he will not be able to go home with the rest of the squad. Pakistani Cricket Board released an official statement today saying that “Misbah was the only Pakistani squad member who failed two pre-departure PCR tests. All other members will leave Jamaica as per scheduled later today” .
The former cricketer has an asymptomatic case of COVID-19. Further details regarding his health and his accommodation in Jamaica are still awaited.
The series came to a dramatic end with one victory each for both the teams. Pakistani bowlers managed to uproot the West Indian batting attack at just 219. They secured a victory with a lead of 109 runs.
