Aligarh, two boys booked under a non-bailable section of the IPC for promoting enmity between classes. They found discussing “transformation to Islam” in a video surfaced, have turned out to be minor. Both the boys belong to the Hindu religion.
Their kin shocked at the allegation against the boys. They are students of Class 12 and were only engaging in a “friendly debate”.
FIR lodged against the boys under section 505 of the IPC, a non-bailable section, at the Sasni gate police station, Aligarh. Also the case was filed after the video surfaced and a local BJP member approached the police in Aligarh.
The BJP leader mentioned previously that the video showed one boy is threatening Hindus and asking them to convert to Islam. The video has created fury among people and the content can develop religious enmity.
In the video footage, a masked boy on his bicycle is pretending to be Muslim and another a Hindu. Police investigation later found that the boys in the video were minors.
As per CO Raghvendra Kumar, Aligarh Police Station, they belong to the same community. Police did not capture them as they were minors and legal proceedings are on in the matter.
The boys were returning from their coaching classes and were debating things in a lighter vein. They did not mean any destruction.
