As per the police, Telangana State Congress Committee (TPCC) Chairman and Deputy Parliamentary A Revanth Reddy and several other senior party leaders were “house arrested” at different regions on Monday. Revanth Reddy, a member of the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha Congress, claimed that the Telangana government’s land auction in Kokapet last week had violations totaling 1 billion rupees.

Before the land auction and protests, dozens of party leaders including Revandh Reddy, Sanga Reddy MLA and Telangana Acting Chairman T Jayaprakash Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Mohammed Ali Shabbir , and several other high-level leaders were “house arrested” . “They (the leaders of the Telangana Congress) are under house arrest to maintain law and order,” a senior police officer told PTI.
Revanth Reddy stated in a letter to President Lok Sabha that he was “prevented” from partaking in Parliament, which violated Parliamentary privileges during the meeting. According to him, he wanted to uplift the issue in parliament against “the state government selling government land to his relatives and to the staff of the ruling TRS party at a single price.”
