Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will visit North Bengal in September.
CM’s tour is expected from September 6-9, where might conduct administrative review meetings and internal party meetings as well. As per poll results, North Bengal has been a weak spot for TMC as most of the Rajbongshi tribal vote went to the BJP and the party now wants to regain the seat.
CM will be in North Bengal from September 6-9 for administrative works and party meetings.
In six districts of North Bengal, BJP bagged 25 seats out of 42 seats.
CM’s visit is scheduled after junior Union ministers Nisith Pramanik and John Barla participated in BJP’s Shaheed Samman Yatra in Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, and Alipurduar. Barla has claimed a separate Union Territory and other BJP leaders have encouraged him.
Key purpose of Mamata’s tour is to build good relations with Ananta Maharaj, an influencer of Rajbongshi voters. Mamata has visited North Bengal several times and has made a separate secretariat to address the underdevelopment in the province.
In Bengal, TMC won with a massive vote share. Now the party wants to regain North Bengal as such, Mamata’s visit will be observed by all political spectrum.
