
Andhra Pradesh has accomplished the milestone of monitoring over 12.5 lakh doses of Covid-19 antibodies under the Mega Covid immunization drive that the health authorities hope could be a documentation in any one province in the world.
According to Andhra Pradesh’s health management, a sum of 12,56,215 individuals were monitored for the coronavirus antibody in the state by 6 pm on Sunday.
As yet, Andhra Pradesh has monitored over one crore first dose of coronavirus injection. Whereas 27.29 lakh individuals are fully inoculated since the Covid-19 immunization schedule commenced on January 16.
Aggregating, 1.37 crore antibody doses (first and second) were governed in the state hitherto, Andhra Pradesh’s health news said.
The Mega Immunization Drive, concerning persons over the age of 45 years and mothers with children under five years, started at 6 am in over 2,200 areas in all 13 districts of the state.
The state’s health department officers said that they had kept a total of 14 lakh Covid doses for the schedule. By 2 pm, 9,02,308 individuals were vaccinated, and by 3.30 pm, the number surpassed the one million mark (10 lakh), the health officials said in a statement.
Presently, they are anticipating that the entire vaccines’ stock could be completed by the end of the day.
The two Godavari districts, East and West, topped the list with 1.48 lakh and 1.43 lakh immunizations as yet on Sunday. Krishna, Visakhapatnam, and Guntur also surpassed the one lakh mark each.
On 14 April, 6,28,961 individuals were inoculated in Andhra Pradesh, then a record high in a day in the nation.
