Congress president Sonia Gandhi admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital here last week due to Covid-concerned issues. Got released on Monday evening and recommended rest at home, the party said.
“Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi released from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital this evening and suggested resting at home.” Party general secretary and chief representative Jairam Ramesh tweeted.
Ramesh previously said that Gandhi admitted to hospital on June 12 after bleeding from her nose following a recent Covid disease. Gandhi was urgently put under treatment and experienced a follow-up procedure on June 16, the spokesperson said.
“A fungal disease in her lower respiratory tract was also located upon admission. She is currently undergoing treatment for it, along with other post-Covid symptoms,” he had said on Friday.
The Congress leader is programmed to appear before the ED in a money laundering case linked to the National Herald newspaper on June 23. She was primarily directed to join the investigation on June 8 but had sought more time from the agency considering her Covid infection.
Her son, Rahul, has already been quizzed for nearly 40 hours since last week. And has been instructed to appear again on Tuesday.
