Shiv Sena MP Vinayak Raut asks Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a letter on Tuesday to dismiss Union minister Narayan Rane over his remarks against Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Raut said in the letter ” It was beyond his comprehension what message Rane would give to society when he himself was using such language. It is also an insult to the prime minister of this country”.
Nashik Police Commissioner Deepak Pandey on Tuesday issued orders for the immediate arrest of Union minister Narayan Rane after an FIR under IPC sections 500 (defamation), 505(2) (mischief), 153-B (1)(c) (remarks likely to cause disharmony, or feeling of enmity or hatred or ill-will) lodged against him for the following remarks. “It is shameful that the chief minister does not know the year of independence. He leaned back to enquire about the count of years of independence during his speech. Had I been there, I would have given him a tight slap,” Rane said during his Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Raigad district on Monday.
Meanwhile, police said members of Shiv Sena’s youth wing and the Bharatiya Janata Party clashed with each other near Rane’s residence in Mumbai on Tuesday. Stone pelting was from both sides and then police used lathi-charge to split up the conflict.
Activists also shouted slogans against each other. Due to the conflict, the road was blocked, distorting the traffic in that area. More police forces were exploited.
The clash took place during a protest organized by activists of the Yuva Sena (the Shiv Sena’s youth wing) against Union minister Rane. BJP workers were gathered outside Rane’s residence in the morning to support their party leader whereas Shiv Sena activists were assembled outside an office of the Yuva Sena.
Also, there was a hurdle between Shiv Sena and BJP supporters at Chiplun in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district. Every statement was mentioned by the official.
