Responding to Yogi Adityanath’s controversial speech at Kushinagar event, Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “What kind of Yogi propagates hate”. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Office in-turn wrote “If bulldozing the empire of criminals and miscreants is hate, then this hatred will continue unabated” in response to Rahul’s tweet.
On September 12, CM Yogi Adityanath visited Kushinagar district. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi marked his speech as hateful. Yogi said, “The rations of Kushinagar went to Nepal and Bangladesh before 2017” reffering to INC’s regime. “Today if anybody tries to swallow the ration meant for the poor, he will land in jail” he added. Yogi Adityanth’s speech at the event openly targeted the Congress party and accused them of spreading corruption and crime during their regime.
“Congress is the mother of terrorism in this country” Yogi said in his speech at Kushinagar event. He also accused the party of insulting people’s faith in Lord Ram.
INC President Rahul Gandhi has often criticized the Central Government on social media or in his public appearences. He chastised the government’s farm laws and stood in support of farmers protest. He recalled the horrific Hathras incident recently in a Facebook post that read, “The wait for justice continues. Daughter of Hathras, Daughter of the country,”.
Criticism for Yogi’s “Abba Jaan” comment:
Yogi Adityanath’s “Abba Jaan” remark garnered much criticism from oppositions leaders/ parties. Janata Dal United president Rajeev Rajan said such remarks would harm the country. Rahul Gandhi also tweeted against the comment. Even independent media houses and journalists voiced their disapproval for the comment on Twitter.
