New Delhi: Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury along with other party workers on Friday (August 20, 2021) paid respect to EX-Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 77th birth anniversary at Veer Bhumi in the national capital.
PM Narendra Modi also paid respect to the youngest Prime Minister of India today.

Born on August 20, 1944, Rajiv Gandhi became the youngest Prime Minister of India when he took office in October 1984. He worked as the Prime Minister of India till December 2, 1989.In May 1991, Rajiv Gandhi was murdered by a Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) suicide bomber during an election meeting in Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu.The Congress observes the day as `Sadbhavna Divas`.
