New Delhi: According to the daily price notification from oil retailers, on Saturday (July 17), the price of petrol in Delhi increased again by 30 paisa. Overall, this is the 10th increase in the price of petrol in the first 17 days of this month. On the other hand, on July 17 the price of diesel in the capital remained stable. With the latest price revision, the retail price of petrol is now Rs 101.84 per liter, while the retail price of diesel in Delhi is Rs 89.87 per liter.
Compared to Delhi, fuel in Mumbai is more expensive. In the financial capital of India, the retail prices of petrol and diesel are respectively Rs 107.83 per liter and Rs 97.45 per liter, or Rs 97.45 per liter.
At the same time, in several cities in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, petrol prices even surpassed the Rs 110 mark.
Since oil retailers decided to adjust fuel prices daily based on changes in oil prices in the international market on May 18, petrol prices have been on the rise.
In recent weeks, petrol prices in most of the country’s metropolitan cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore, have exceeded 100 rupees. In the last week of June, petrol prices in Patna and Thiruvananthapuram also rose to more than Rs 100.
