Bengaluru( Karnataka) : Karnataka’s Minister of Science and Technology , Dr . CN Ashwatha Narayana , said on 22nd August ,Sunday , that plans were being made for executing the NEP , rapidly. The new education policy was approved by the Union Cabinet of India, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on 29th July 2020. It aims to refocus and reconstruct India’s education system, by giving equal emphasis on all fields including art , languages ,sports and other curriculars. It also envisions making vocational schools a mainstream.
Dr. Narayana attended an online meeting for the same, coordinated by the Bharatiya Janata Party. He reassured that Karnataka was proactively participating in the smooth implementation of the policy , by clearing any confusion among the stakeholders and others associated with the same . He also added that the students and faculty members were being informed about the policy along with the management. Workshops, events and programmes will be held at length to illuminate people , and helplines will be set up to respond to the queries.
Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University P.S. Yadapadithaya intends to organise an introductory event for the same, in which all the members associated with the execution of NEP, including teaching staff, students and chairpersons will be invited.
He also desired cooperation from all to make this motive a success. He appreciated the benefits of NEP stating the several exit and entry points a student gets ; ensuring the completion of a pupil’s education. He also highlighted the privilege of online courses which have been introduced and wanted students to make the most of it.
The National Education Policy, heralds a new India, one where equal opportunity is an achievable dream for students from all sections of the society. It’s execution will also ensure a holistic approach towards education so that the students are adept and equipped for all spheres of their life .
