Two civilians killed in two separate events of firing by militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar on Saturday evening. Both the incidents occurred within a kilometer radius in just three hours.
The first incident happened when a civilian marked as Abdul Majid Guru. From Chattabal in Srinagar, fired from a close range at Karan Nagar area. He surrendered to his injuries even though the SMHS hospital was a stone’s throw away from the site of the crime.
The second incident happened when a 45-year-old power department employee Mohammad Shafi Dar shot at in Batamaloo. He rushed to hospital with a bullet wound in his abdomen but later succumbed to the injuries. The man gunned when the busy Batamaloo market was packing up, closing their shops and people going home.
Teams of J & K Police have rushed to the two sites and investigated the scenes of the firings.
Police received information about a terror crime event near Madina Complex, Karan Nagar area of Srinagar. Where terrorists gunned on a civilian. Victim received grievous gunshot wounds in the terror incident and he immediately evacuated to hospital but died.
Similarly, another terror crime incident occurred at SD Colony Batamaloo area of Srinagar where terrorists had fired upon a civilian. In this terrorism, he received critical gunshot injuries and immediately shifted to nearby hospital for the treatment of his injuries.
In both the cases, police have documented a case and started inquiries.
