New Delhi: India reported 44,111 fresh COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare mentioned on Saturday (July 3, 2021) morning.
With this, the dynamic caseload in the nation has diminished below five lakh after almost 100 days and now stands at 4,95,533.
India also observed 738 new coronavirus-concerned demises and 57,477 recuperation. As yet, the country has detailed a total of 4,01,050 mortalities and 2,96,05,779 discharges.
Currently, the national weekly positivity rate is at 2.50%, while the daily positivity rate and improvement Rate are at 2.35% and 97.06% respectively.
Earlier on Friday, the Centre designated multi-disciplinary teams to Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Manipur considering the rising number of COVID-19 cases being detailed by these states. These squads will be assisting them in their ventures for targeted COVID response and management, and effectively handling the pandemic.
The two-member high-level squad to these states consists of a clinician and a public health expert.
“The squads will visit the States promptly and regulate the overall implementation of COVID-19 management, especially in testing, including surveillance and infection operations; COVID Appropriate Behaviour and its enforcement; access of hospital beds, sufficient logistics including ambulances, ventilators, medical oxygen etc, and COVID-19 Vaccination evolution, ” the Health Ministry said in an official article.
The Central teams will also support the conditions and advise remedial measures on public health activities to the respective state governments.
Meanwhile, more than 34 crore antibody doses have been governed in India to date. This is to be noted that the Health Ministry on Friday had endorsed the immunization of pregnant women against COVID-19.
