NEW DELHI: India on Wednesday detailed a single-day surge in the regular cases of fresh coronavirus contamination across the country.
As per the Union Health Ministry report, India informed 37,593 new COVID-19 cases and 648 demises in the last 24 hours. During this spell, the country reported a total of 34,169 recuperations, the data informed.
The Health Ministry information further stated that the dynamic COVID-19 cases in the country have escalated to 3,22,327.
“The summation of COVID-19 cases escalated to 3,25,12,366 and the casualty toll reached 4,35,758 with 648 new casualties,” according to the data updated at 8 AM.
The active cases includes 0.99 per cent of the total contamination, it said. The national COVID-19 improvement rate was detailed at 97.67 per cent, the Ministry said.
An escalation of 2,776 cases has been detailed in the active COVID-19 caseload in a length of 24 hours.
India’s COVID-19 tally had surpassed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16. It went past 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, crossed 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and exceeded the one-crore mark on December 19.
India surpassed the grim milestone of two crore on May 4 and three crore on June 23.
