
India’s total sum of COVID-19 cases surpassed the 3-crore mark with one crore contaminations being added in 50 days. The total tally reached 3,00,28,709, with 50,848 new coronavirus diseases being detailed in a day.
The casualty toll amounted to 3,90,660 with 1,358 new mortalities, as per the Union Health Ministry information updated on Wednesday. India’s total COVID-19 contaminations had crossed the one-crore mark on December 19 after which it took almost 136 days to cross the 2-crore mark on May 4. The active cases further dropped to 6, 43,194 comprising 2.14 percent of the total contamination, while the national COVID-19 improvement rate has healed to 96.56 percent, the data updated at 8 am indicated. A net drop of 19,327 cases has been detailed in the COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.
