New Delhi: In a major seizure, heroin worth estimated Rs 126 crore seized from two South African men at the international airport here as they were endeavoring to smuggle it into the nation, according to an official article on Monday. Consequently, the two accused caught on Saturday upon their arrival from Johannesburg via Doha.
“On comprehensive personal and baggage search of the traveller, off-white colour powder/granules, detected heroin, weighing 8 kg rescued from one passenger and 10 kg rescued from another,” said the articulation released by the custom office. Both of the defamed realized to be part of a syndicate, it said.
It mentioned that the off-white colour powder/granules, weighing 18 in total and estimated to priced at Rs 126 crore, skilfully hidden inside their checked-in trolley bags.
