The Delhi Police have captured four college students from Kargil in connection with a low-intensity explosion that happened near the Israel embassy on January 29.
Sources assured to News18 that the four students previously detained from Kargil interrogated by the Delhi Police Special Cell. They belong to 21-25 age group.
“They come from middle-class families. Were college students. Delhi cops did not share much particulars about exactly what the accusation against them is. They put in detention yesterday. We didn’t have to use much power. They taken on transit remand and sent to Delhi on Wednesday,” an officer in Kargil revealed.
A low-intensity blast occurred near the Israeli embassy in the heart of Lutyens’ Delhi on January 29, but no harm was detailed. The Delhi Police had stated the explosion occurred near the pavement in the high-security area and that the windscreens of three cars nearby were broken.
On June 15, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is investigating the case, published CCTV footage of two accused. The NIA also declared a reward of Rs 10 lakh each for information about the two suspects.
