New Delhi: A suspect suspected of spying for the Pakistani intelligence agency InterServices Intelligence (ISI) has been detained by the Delhi Police Crimes Unit of Pokaran, Rajasthan. The accused was reportedly from Bikaner and had supplied vegetables to the Indian army. He has been involved in this profession for a long time.
According to the information received, the defendant identified as Habib Khan was indirectly connected to the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and leaked key information to them.
Habib Khan is believed to be collecting important military-related information and providing it to the Pakistani intelligence agency, the Tri-Service Intelligence.
The Delhi Police Crimes Division has been monitoring Habib Khan for some time. On Wednesday (July 14) he was transferred to Delhi after a day’s detention. A team from the Delhi Police and Intelligence Office is currently questioning him.
The incident took place a few days after the UP Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) caught two terrorists linked with Al-Qaida Ansar Ghazwatul Hind, Minhaz Ahmed and Musheeruddin. ATS claimed that they are planning to explode, including the use of “body bombs” at various sites in Uttar Pradesh. “They plan to explode and use human bombs in important places, memorials and crowded places. For this, they are collecting weapons and explosives,” said a police official.
