The Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya assured Centre will fund Rs 1,300 crore to the Northeastern states to tackle the COVID-19 outbreak. Centre granted fund for buying medicines, boost oxygen supply, escalate beds — general, ICU and children — at local and district-level hospitals.
“The fund will also be used to accelerate the vaccination motion by the states in the region. The Government of India is pledged to provide enough antibodies to the states,.
The peak in the Northeast region was observed much later than the rest of India and so it was taking time to finish.
Early two weeks later, the cases have commenced dropping in the Northeast and this is a marvel. All the states exercised different steps to curb the second wave and it is declining now.
