A difficult-to-watch visual from Bengaluru on Tuesday circulated over the social media. The grim 90-second clip, recorded by bystanders, shows the fire spreading quickly leaving no space for the woman to escape. The woman unfortunately is seen on fire herself towards the end.
Since the balcony had safety grills and the woman was trapped in the corner, nobody could intervene to help her. The video sent chills to the spine of many.
Two people got seriously injured in the fire, an early report from the fire service officials said. In another statement the fire service officials stated, the woman died of her injuries.
The Fire and Emergency Service was called around 4:40 PM when three fire engineers reported to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control. The video does not show efforts of the firefighting, leaving the woman without help.
The fire has been brought under control after nearly three hours of fire fighting, and firemen are now entering the building.
