A helicopter crashed in the Jalgaon district on Friday night. One passenger died and another was injured. One pilot was killed in the helicopter crash in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, and another was injured.
This helicopter belonged to the NMIMS Aviation Academy in Maharashtra, when it crashed around 4pm, there were two pilots on board. Police and other authorities are on the scene and rescue and salvage work is underway.
Incident occurred near Wardi village in the Chopda area of the area, which is part of the Satpura mountain range, authorities received the information around 5:15 pm and police informed PTI. An official said: “Hospital authorities announced that one passenger died upon arrival and the second was wounded.” He added that one of the passengers was a woman, but it was unclear who was flying the helicopter.
Federal Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said he was surprised by the tragic accident. “An investigation team is being transferred to the scene. Unfortunately, we lost the flight instructor and the trainee was seriously injured. I express my condolences to the grieving family and pray for the apprentice’s speedy recovery,” he said in a tweet.
