A minimum of five people have been arrested for being connected to the with the Mysuru gangrape case. The police informed.
The peaceful city of Mysuru was shaken up when a 22 year old woman was gangraped on the desolate Chamundi hills. She was traveling with her classmate, while some local goons seemed to have approached them. Taking advantage of their helplessness and the hills being Isolated, they demanded money. On being refused, they brutalized the youth and took turns to sexually exploit the student.
Home Minister of Karnataka Araga Jnanendra reported on Saturday, 28th August, the case had been successfully solved and the criminals had been arrested. Further information is awaited on the same.
Earlier, the Minister had condemned young people for venturing out after sunset. This had been strongly criticized by the political fraternity. Strong security measures should be taken to ensure the safety of the citizens. This is especially true for women. Instead of chastising the victims, who visited local places in the evenings, security should be tightened, demanded the residents of the state.
