Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka invited skipper KL Rahul to his house following the massive controversy over their fiery conversation after the loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024. According to LSG insiders, Rahul attended the dinner at Goenka’s house on Monday. Earlier, Goenka was caught on camera having an animated conversation with Rahul and head coach Justin Langer after the heavy defeat. The incident led to massive criticism from both experts and fans with Goenka facing outrage for publicly berating the cricketer. However, it seems like there is no rift in the LSG camp as a picture of KL Rahul hugging Sanjiv Goenka has gone viral on social media.

Lucknow Super Giants are still in the IPL 2024 playoffs race as they can book their spot in the Top 4 with victories in the two remaining matches. They take on Delhi Capitals on Tuesday.

LSG will have to win both of their remaining matches and that will take them to 16 points.

If Chennai Super Kings beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad win one out of their remaining two matches, all 3 sides can end up with 16 points and LSG may not qualify due to their inferior Net Run Rate (NRR).

If SRH win both of their matches and CSK lose to RCB, LSG will go through at No. 4.

If SRH lose both of their matches, LSG can go through by winning their remaining matches irrespective of what happens in the clash between CSK and RCB.

LSG assistant coach Lance Klusener earlier opened up about the entire controversy.

“I don’t see any problem with some robust discussion between two cricket lovers. So for us, I guess it’s just a storm in a teacup. We love a robust discussion. I think that’s how teams get better. So, it’s not a big thing for us,” the South African said during the pre-match press conference.
