Dominic Raab, the Foreign Secy. of UK had a dialogue with Foreign Minister of Tajikistan on 2nd of September, Thursday. They addressed the critical conditions that prevail in Afghanistan and discussed ways to enhance them.
“We are working with regional partners around the clock. I spoke to Tajikistan FM Sirojiddin Muhriddin and discussed how our countries can help maintain stability in the region, and tackle the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan,” Dominic Raab tweeted.
Tajikistan shares border with Afghanistan and hence, might have a better understanding of the latter’s condition under the Taliban regime. Powerful countries like UK are communing with countries in close proximity of Afghanistan to understand the depth of the situation.
Raab also visited Qatar on Thursday to meet the evacuees from Afghanistan. He held the same discussion with Qatar’s Foreign Minister.
Countries of the world are uniting against the oppressors in Afghanistan. As for the UK, they will continue working with their partners to improve the humanitarian conditions in Afghanistan and ensure safe passage for the evacuees.
