Six persons concerned with the Paralympic Games probed positive for Covid-19. Including the sportspersons, officials, administrators, and volunteers that have assembled here for the Tokyo 2020 Games quit for home on Monday.
The Paralympic Games ended with the closing ceremony on Sunday.
The Organising Committee tested the six persons positively.
Total 316 persons have tested Covid positive for the Paralympic Games, Tokyo 2020, four days after the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games concluded. The Olympics had detailed 168 positive individuals throughout its trial period from July 1.
Earlier 48 hours, 10 people had gone positive. Which marks a higher contamination rate. More than 4,400 para-athletes and officials returned to their respective countries as their events ended.
Of the 316 cases detailed, 13 were of athletes inside the Games Village.
The Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee, the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) will monitor health for people who were in the Japan Olympics.
