Directly, a leader of the present Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, harshly admitted Pakistan military’s bonds with the Taliban and even said that the Taliban will aid Pakistan to achieve Kashmir.
Neelam Irshad Sheikh, a senior leader of the PTI, the PM Imran Khan’s political party, did not even try to dormant their anti-India objective in the video that has now surfaced on social media. While partaking in a TV news debate, Sheikh mentioned that Pakistan and Taliban will cooperate for Kashmir. “The Taliban are stating that they are beside us and they will support us in Kashmir,” Sheikh said during the show.
Apparently, the Taliban had stated that Kashmir is India’s internal and bilateral issues.
Sheikh’s remarks, before it could blow the viewers, confused even the news anchor. The anchor was seen saying, “Do you know what you’ve commented, Madam? You are oblivious of what you have said. For God’s sake ma’am, this show will be broadcasted worldwide. In India, this will be viewed.” But Sheikh was not to be discouraged and commented that the Taliban were mistreated and that’s why they will “support us”.
Pakistan’s relation with the Taliban has been under investigators. Before, the Afghan authority had blamed Pakistan and its intelligence arm of aiding and encouraging the Taliban.
