US Vice President Kamala Harris met for the first time, physically, in Washington WITH PM Modi. A wide range of topics were discussed regarding Covid 19 and global developments like terrorism . In addition, Pakistan’s impact on US, India and the world regarding terrorism were within the topic.
During the meeting, Harris said that there were terror groups working in the country. She urged Islamabad to react so that it does not impact America and India’s security.
PM Modi chaired the meeting with VP Harris at the White House on Sep 23. They decided to further concrete the Indo-US policy partnership. They also discussed global issues of common interest, including threats to democracy, Afghanistan and the Indo-Pacific.
Per Shringla, Harris mentioned that there were terror groups that were active in Pakistan. She urged Pakistan to react so that this will not impact US security and that of India. She consent with Modi’s briefing on the fact of cross border terrorism. As a result, India has been a victim of terrorism for long time now and on the need to control it. Further, closely monitor Pakistan’s help for such terrorist groups.
Harris said that it is mandatory for both nations to preserve democracies in the best interests of citizens. It is essential that we defend democratic principles and institutions within our respective countries and around the globe. Further she said that we must maintain our democracies at home. It is mandatory for our nations to protect democracies in the best interests of the people of our countries.
