Iran slammed Pakistan for allegedly providing military help to Taliban. The country openly displayed its disapproval over Pak’s overt involvement in Afghanistan’s internal matters . Taliban got ahold of Panjshir valley on Monday, 6th August, as they managed to uproot the Resistance force and gun down several top tier commanders of the force.
“Last nights attacks are condemned in the strongest terms and the foreign interference must be investigated.” said Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh. Iran has criticized Pakistan openly and accused them of “running the show” in Afghanistan.
Taliban on Monday assumed power over some regions of the Panjshir valley. The former Vice-President of Afghanistan and the President of Resistance force, Amrullah Saleh, displaced to a safer location after he survived heavy bombardments.
Although Iran has been mostly supportive of Taliban, but their latest statements suggest that the country disapproves of Pak’s influence. Moreover, Iran became the first country to speak against the blockading of Panjshir valley. They suggested negotiations between Resistance force and Taliban rather than military actions.
