The FDA authorizes “mix and match” strategy for individuals requiring a Covid booster shot after their primary series.
Also, FDA determined that the potential benefits of the use of a single heterologous booster dose overcome the potential risk.
The Moderna, Pfizer, and J&J antibodies approved in the USA. A single shot of any of them used following completion of the primary vaccine with a different Covid antibody.
While, per new regulation, individuals received two Moderna jabs and are 65 or older, over 18 and at high risk for Covid. Individuals over 18 and have high occupational exposure may now obtain a booster.
Also, adults obtained one shot J&J vaccine more than two months ago are also eligible for booster.
Previously, people at the high risk group and received Pfizer jab initially are eligible for a boost.

, myocarditis and pericarditis. Especially affects the younger males.
J&J vaccine linked to a serious type of blood clot in combination with low blood platelets one or two weeks after administration. Females ranging from 18 to 49 are at high risk.
