Kochi: India’s primarily ‘made-in-India’ Aircraft Carrier – INS Vikrant – will be authorised following year, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh mentioned at the southern naval command in Kochi today.
In an articulation to the media after surveying the development made in the erection of the Indigenous Aircraft Carrier or IAC, Rajnath Singh explained it as “India’s confidence and a shining example of Atmanirbhar Bharat”.
INS Vikrant is also designated as the Indigenous Aircraft Carrier 1 or IAC-1
“Commissioning of this IAC following year would be a profitable gift to the 75th year of India’s independence”, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated.
Mr Singh attended INS Vikrant (IAC), which is being constructed at the Cochin Shipyard Limited in Kerala’s Kochi.
