The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has locked down actor Suniel Shetty’s building due to an increase in COVID19 cases.
Actor Suniel Shetty lives in a building called “Prithvi Apartments” on Altamount Road in South Mumbai. BMC has closed the building due to 5 cases of coronavirus in this building.
BMC Deputy Commissioner Prashant Gaikwad (D Ward) today said “Prithvi Apartments were put on lockdown on Saturday. People are not allowed to come”.
When asked by reporters if the movement of people could be seen even though the building was fenced off, Prashant Gaikwad said it was a violation of COVID19 protocol. “From now on, we will deploy the police outside the building so that no members of the building can be called outside the premises.
The whole family of actor Suniel Shetty lives on the 18th floor of this building. A BMC official said Suniel Shetty’s family is safe now and nothing has happened to them. More details on the tests are awaited.
According to BMC guidelines, if 5 cases of COVID19 are found in a building, that building is cordoned off declaring it a microcontroller zone.
