Actress Jacqueline Fernandez apparently being questioned by The Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding Sukesh Chandrashekar’s polynuclear extortion case, according to reports. This took place on Monday in New Delhi. She was physically contacted to join the investigation.
Fernandez was interrogated and examined for 4 hours by the ED because she faced charges of money laundering.
The ED raided one of Chandrashekar’s facilities last week and seized a waterfront bungalow in Chennai, more than a dozen deluxe vehicles, and 8.25 million rupees in cash.
Chandrasekhar is known as a liar and is currently being investigated by Delhi Police for an alleged criminal conspiracy, crookery, and extortion case which adds up to just about 2 billion INR.
The ED said, “Chandrasekhar is the mastermind of this fraud. He has been part of the crime world since the age of 17. He has multiple FIRs against him and is presently lodged in Rohini jail (in connection with the Delhi Police case).
According to the ED, even though he was serving his time in jail, it did not stop him from continuing his horrendous work.
“He (with a cellphone procured illegally in the prison) with the help of technology, made spoofed calls to dupe people as the numbers displayed on the called party’s phone number belonged to senior government officers. While speaking (from the prison) to these persons, he claimed to be a government officer offering to help people for a price,” the ED affirmed.
