When inquired of the fact if Washington and Delhi aligning in the full lining up with Russia’s aggression on Ukraine, US President Joe Biden indicated on Thursday that “consultations” with India are still ongoing.
Biden said, “We are in consultations with India today. We haven’t resolved that completely.”
In recent years, India has forged tight relationships with Washington, but it has built a strong relationship with Moscow,
which continues to be a significant provider of defence weapons.
According to a senior US administration official, the 15-member United Nations Security Council, of which India is also a member.
India is expecting to vote on Friday on a draught resolution condemning
Russia for entering Ukraine and requiring Moscow to leave immediately and unquestioningly.

According to an official statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, pleading for an end to the crisis:
” immediate cessation of violence and called for concerted efforts from all sides to return to the path of diplomatic negotiations and dialogue”.
The statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said PM Modi called for
“concerted efforts from all sides to return to the path of diplomatic negotiations and dialogue”.
He restated in the statement that read
“long-standing conviction that the differences between Russia and the NATO group can only be resolved through honest and sincere dialogue,”
In its speech to the UN Security Council, India highlighted the importance of diplomacy and a peaceful conclusion while avoiding criticising Russia.
So, this has created an impression of disagreements with the United States, Washington has been cautious in its criticism of
India’s attitude thus far. Following months of anxiety, Russia began military actions towards Ukraine on Thursday morning.
